Living Out of my League at Fusion Resort Phu Quoc

If you read my previous post, you’re probably aware that I’ve been a little broken lately. That said, some days are better than others and in general I’ve been feeling a little better (read: not covered in mascara stains quite as much).

And so I wanted to get back on track with my writing and with updating you on my trip. It’s true that I’m home now (Instagram made that pretty obvious), but there were some places that I went to that were just so beautiful, I can’t not put them on my blog. So please excuse the non-chronological order of my posts right now while I get back on track.

If you’ve been following me on Instagram, chances are you saw a series of pretty pictures with “Fusion Resort Phu Quoc” labelled as the location. I spent four nights and five days at this stunning property in Vietnam in order to write a proper review, and in all honesty, I have never experienced a place this luxurious. Like ever.

Maybe doling out $500 to $1000 USD per night is a normal thing for you. If so, I am extremely envious and also secretly curious how on earth you manage to do that. Or, you know, not so secretly.

I should have had an idea the second I read the press release and saw the pictures — each villa had its own private pool, it was brand new, and it was an ALL INCLUSIVE SPA RESORT (caps for emphasis). It is exactly what it sounds like: you get a minimum of two spa treatments per person per day, inclusive of the room rate.

So let’s make that two things I had never experienced until this point. One, a hotel this pricey and beautiful, and two, an equally pricey and beautiful spa. Imagine my reaction when I got to actually stay here!

I’ll be honest, I did the dorkiest happy dance when we arrived in our villa and our personal ‘fusionista’, Winnie, had left the premises. I left that part out of my more professional review, but total honesty is always my policy with you readers here. How else are you supposed to get to know how embarrassing and weird I actually am?

Anyways, here’s the photos, and if you want to know more details about the resort and my stay there you can read my full review of Fusion Resort Phu Quoc here.
